Google AdWords in a nutshellEver done a search on Google and seen special links down the side and along the top? Ever been on a website and seen links with the small 'Ads by Google' icon next to them? These are AdWords. Context sensitive adverts. If you type 'car insurance' into Google you will see AdWords about car insurance. If you type golf clubs you will see adverts for golf shops. These differ from other adverts as they relate to the content of the web page they appear on. Companies bid for AdWords advert space by selecting keywords and an amount they are prepared to pay if someone clicks their advert. That's why this type of marketing is called Pay Per Click or PPC. If correctly set up PPC adverts can drive visitors to your website right at the point they are looking to buy what you sell. If you'd like to know more then contact us. |
