Dave Robinson - Business Founder

I'm Dave Robinson and I founded Red Evolution in 2003. My background is diverse, my working life starting in Vickers Shipbuilding and Engineering in 1980. Since then I've run various small businesses, worked in the oil and gas industry in the UK and Norway and more recently in academia. Today I run Red Evolution. Here's my Google profile.

My qualifications include an ONC and HNC in Mechanical Engineering, a BSc in Building Surveying and an MSc in Information Systems. I'm also a Chartered Engineer, a Chartered IT Professional and a member of the British Computer Society.

Outside Red Evolution I'm proud to be a member of Grampian Fire and Rescue Service, working as a Retained Firefighter (well, Crew Manager now), I play in Aberdeen's premier wedding and function band (well I would say that wouldn't I) and my partner and I compete in ballroom dancing. I'm also a 'now and then' golfer and part time surfer. Recently I discovered that, despite previously asserting I don't like hill walking, I do in fact love it and I like to scamper down to Keswick as often as possible to walk up hills. Of course living on the edge of the Cairngorms offers one or two opportunities for the keen walker too! I live here.
