SEO & A Stunning New Website

Ambitious Scottish glamping consultancy, Glampitect, came to us for SEO services. While their website was working well for them, bringing in leads for their sales team we soon found a number of structural, content and design issues that may have been holding the site back.

When Glampitect prepared to launch new businesses in Dubai and the USA, they asked us for advice.

We took the opportunity to rebuild the entire site in Hubspot CMS Hub, giving them a fresh new multi-country website.

The Challenge

The Glampitect website was ranking well and getting good levels of traffic and leads every day. However, there was scope to improve and they came to us for advice and hands on help. After a fascinating and in-depth discovery session we started auditing the site content as part of the process of creating a new content plan. In the process we found some significant issues with duplicate versions of blog posts, outdated landing pages, and confusing page layouts.

Website Improvements

It quickly became apparent that our role needed to extend beyond SEO and Glampitect asked us to look after the entire website, starting with the redesign of landing pages to improve user experience with the aim of increasing leads generated. While rolling out the new designs across the site we became an extension of the Glampitect team, jumping in to work on exhibition specific pages, webinar promotion campaigns, email workflows and more, predominantly using HubSpot CMS.

We took on the management of Glampitect’s Google Ads and streamlined their campaigns, achieving more leads for a lower cost per conversion.

At the same time we set up lead generating Facebook ads, testing different creatives to ensure conversions were maximised.

Multi-Country Website

When they were preparing to launch new businesses in Dubai and North America a month apart they needed a team who could build a high-impact, multi-country website, fast.

Following a discovery session we agreed on new designs and developed a beautiful custom website to meet their specific and exacting requirements. Meanwhile, we set about unpicking the content and simplifying the structure. Working closely with the client we added content, CTAs and forms in time to meet a very tight launch deadline.

As soon as the UK site was complete we started on the Middle East version of the site, immediately followed by the USA version, working closely with the Glampitect team to ensure all the content was added in time for the launches.

The Glampitect team were already experienced HubSpot Marketing Hub users. It therefore made perfect sense to build their new sites in HubSpot CMS. We were able to use existing landing pages and forms to minimise disruption to their sales process, and took advantage of HubSpot’s easy to use interface to enable our content team and their marketers to add content directly into the CMS. We made the most of HubSpot’s unique tools including HubDB to maximise the flexibility of the page templates, and easily adapted pages to suit each individual different country website.

Careful Planning

With several versions of some of the pages in existence and two blogs, we had a mammoth task in checking which of the urls to keep and which to redirect. With the help of a large colour coded spreadsheet we redirected all the old blog posts to the new HubSpot blog and ensured that all the urls from the old site were redirected to the right page on the new site. Regular checks after go live ensured that everything was working correctly.

We carried out a one-day SEO masterclass for Glampitect’s North America manager covering SEO strategy and content planning. The early part of their US launch marketing plan was focused on organic search marketing, therefore they needed to know how to research, plan and create the most effective content to ensure that they were found online.
