In A Nutshell

I am a graphic designer here at Red Evolution, involved in the creative output, whether working on a full branding project or on individual elements such as corporate identities, printed literature, signage, and exhibition design. Always integrating the design with the digital experience. I especially love rebranding projects and looking at the bigger picture of all things brand, where I am involved in creating the brand guidelines and rolling out the collateral across all platforms, both online and offline.

Background

I have worked as a graphic designer and design director for over 30 years in both Edinburgh and Aberdeen, working for agencies large and small, and laterally as a freelance designer.

I have been involved in designing and directing all things print, from large branding projects, to advertising, corporate identity, annual reports, printed literature, exhibition design, signage and packaging. I have also been involved in digital design, but leave the techy stuff to the experts.

Sectors I have worked in include oil and gas, renewables, engineering, residential and commercial property, education, finance and legal, food and drink, cosmetics, hospitality and recreation.

When I'm Not At Work

My favourite things to do. Growing lots of fruit and veg in my allotment. Going to as many gigs as I can. Walking my very naughty goldendoodle, Ruby. I also like to travel as much as I can and am happy to be in a 5-star hotel or a tent. I love cooking and drinking good wine, and I also collect artist teddy bears, so quite a varied life!
